I don't buy it. It looks faked to me (although I am far from being an expert).
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. Not a chance in hell that this is real.
For starters: Why so much pointless pre-crash footage when the immediate aftermath of impact would have provided comparison views of the fireball? Unbalanced, in more ways than one.
