I agree David. And such sentiments appeal to the lumpen and workers who have borne the brunt of this globalization. The same sentiments were also expressed by Herr Hitler about the foreign dominance of Germany's economy and he was embraced by many of the German people who were suffering after the great depression and harsh reparations of WW1 as their saviour. Foreign influence over the local economy in both cases. But fails to acknowledge the role of local capitalists in the process and lets them off completely while repressing and oppressing any resistance to the repression.
