Guys and gals: And welcome Mark, nice to see you here. But as I said on another thread I believe Obama KNOWS all about the powers behind the curtain. I think he learned a LOT from his former pastor. I just returned from a child protective services mediation and the family mambers- all afro Americans- know the truth about JFK, MKL. So if these young not very educated people know (late 30's) don't you think Obama did some studying before he even ran? His wife was afraid. Michelle clearly knows in my opinion.
So he will have to walk a delicate line to try to accomplish all that he wants to accomplish without getting himself assassinated.
Like Peter I'd have perferred Cynthia (who is one of us!!) or Nadar, but we are a long way from a true chance of a 3rd party winning. In '76 it gave the election to Ray- gun and in '92 it gave the election to Clinton.

I just hope the up the number of secret services and that they truly do thier jobs this time. We don't want another Dallas. But we know that if the bastards decide to take him out it will be a plane crash --(like JFK Jr)- or an untraceable heart attack or cancer like Ruby....WE will know...
Or another Dallas. In our face like JFK.
The best we can hope for is that he surrounds himself with advisors who know true history.

Ya know that's an excellent point Dawn. It's been apparent to me for years that many African Americans know the dark secrets, the deep politics. I mainly learned them after the advent of the internet.

I'm not just assuming Obama knows some dark secrets, he tipped us off in his famous race speech when he acknowledged that many AAs believe that AIDS was introduced into the population for the purpose of black genocide. I've heard that from black contacts since 1990. When I first heard it I thought it was incredible. I now find it quite credible.

I think that whites have long been perceived by AAs as saddly naive. And that perception is based on the fact that whites were naive. Thus episodes like the OJ verdict, which shocked whites but was likely based on the fact that AA's were victimized in the shadows by corrupt law enforcement for decades, so of course they didn't trust the racist cop who testified.

Well thanks to the internet we've all seen countless YouTube videos of corrupt and violent cops. We've seen videos of street protests, people exercising the first amendment rights they thought they had, being maced and tazed and arrested for no legit reason. It think many whites are now much less naive.

From what little I've seen of Rev Wright he seems to know the dark secrets of his country. From what little I know of President-Elect Obama, he has learned much from Rev Wright. I hope this knowledge serves President Obama well.
