I would love to know more about this. Like the names of the doctors and how they had contact with the women given the doctors were in private practice and the women incarcerated in a government facility which has its own medical facilities. Have these grossly unethical doctors been investigated by the courts or by their professional boards and are they still practising and if so why? Obviously the request for sterilisation are not coming from the women. It is almost always elective surgery. There is no need for birth control in a woman's prison but there may be some who wish to cover up cover up evidence of sexual abuse.
