I believe she was his lover/partner - and after he was not there the police likely intimidated her to let them enter - she not knowing she had the right to refuse - or afraid that refusing and asking them to get a warrant would make 'things' more difficult for her...which in our current police state is likely so! Any interaction now with the Police can mean death.....before you get to jail and before you are arrested....even without resisting.
