Abu Nidal, notorious Palestinian mercenary, 'was a US spy'
#3
Magda Hassan Wrote:An interesting article Paul. On the same day you posted this I was looking into some information about Ilia Ramirez Sanchez (Carlos the Jackal) I know Abu Nidal and he trained together somewhere, I can't recall exactly where now. But what I was wondering was that Carlos was kidnapped from Sudan by the French. The French were put onto him by the US. I wonder if it was by that other CIA asset Bin Laden who was in Sudan at the same time? Same time same place. A possibility.

Heavens knows who turned in Carlos the Asset, Magda, though I did enjoy the mischievousness of the proposition. Whenever I ponder Carlos and his ilk I'm always struck by the inadequacy of my attempt to categorise this kind of state asset: Nihilistic narcissists, is the phrase I keep coming back to, albeit painfully conscious of its limitations. This group - Bader, Atta and so on - should not be confused with the Oswald personality type, a group which debuted no later than "Lewis Paine" (Lewis T. Powell?) in the Lincoln assassination, and was joined most recently by Timothy McVeigh. Horses for courses, I assume.
