"...
Billy W. Anglin (the officer assigned to patrol Harlandale) was listed as a patrolman in the same division with J. D. Tippit. I notice the name Charles W. Harrison in the same list. It is my understanding that Jay Harrison had been a friend of Tippit in Dallas and had worked in some type of police work, but I don't know if this Harrison was related to him or not. ...".
Jay Harrison while he was with the DPD did UC work and gathered information on the "Minutemen" of the Dallas chapter in early 63. He and I used to meet at a dance hall called, 'The It'll Do Club'. Sometimes other Dallas PD officers hung out at this place.
Jay and others, who I do not recall at the moment, often went to Austins BQ and Youngbloods Fried Chicken in Oak Cliff. Some of the Dallas Cubans, known as "The Sunset Bunch", because they had a safe house not far from Sunset High School in Oak Cliff. also used Youngbloods as a meeting place. The Harlendale Bunch also was sean at this location many times. Some of that bunch worked at Austins Bar BQ. Both these groups were from the miami Alpha-66 group.
