Great piece Russ. I recommend Dr. Phil Melanson's book on this case, in particular p. 25 for just HOW bad this "trial" was. SS did not lack "capable" attorneys
they were placed there to ensure the "justice" SS got. Cooper was "ably" assisted by Attorney Russell Parsons. Both should have been disbarred. (More details when I have more time)
I have been a criminal defense atty. for now twenty eight years and I have never once seen a situation where the "Defense stipulated" to the accused's guilt.
That is not a trial. That is an ambush.
I wish Pepper luck. But I don't hold out much hope.
It would be a miracle if Pepper was successful.
