Let us not forget Hugo did not only help his own people but many here in the US also.I remember,maybe about three years ago,reading how Hugo gave the Northern Cheyenne tribe a check for $98,000 (memory?).This is when he was helping the poor to heat their houses during the bitter winter.

Yes Keith. And in the UK as well. He gave for free oil for heating purposes to many councils for their poorer residents. When Boris Johnson was elected mayor of London he put an end to this.

He even did the same with winter heating oil in some poorer areas of the USA! CITCO, the Venezuelan-owned petrol/gas retailer in the USA is very often the cheapest. He gave large amounts of oil FREE to some S.A. countries and at very very reduced rates to others. The ghoulish glee the US media and politicians express at his demise [likely caused by CIA foul play] will only be equaled when Fidel dies. Blame the victim it is called. Hugo was a hero!
