Yes,I think that statement rings very true Lauren.Well,not the Marine part though,I was Army.But as much as I am an anti-war person now,right after 9/11 and the US was attacked,all of that military mindset came back.I even considered joining one of the Oregon militias that had a resurgence of activity then.
I think what it all comes down to is that we took an oath of honor to defend the country and the constitution.I can't speak for all veterans but my honor is of the upmost importance.This does not mean that I don't falter at times but,I will always try to keep my honor.It might,in fact even be the only thing that keeps me from just crumbling........
