Many, many thanks for your message and very kind words. I would love the join the discussion. Given the really intensive schedule that awaits me here in Rome before my new teaching assignment, I believe I might not have the time to check in continually and participate in the online exchange properly. Which, of course, is not *at all* to say, arrogantly, 'thank you but I am so very busy...'; I do want to interact with everyone on the forum, but the best way at this stage would be for me to discuss individual themes via email, and possibly )if he so wishes) have my interlocutor post the excerpt on the site.
