One thought that springs to mind (not for the first time) is control of the population in terms of numbers. One reason why I sat up to read Kate Story's recent post on the Goergia Guidestones:

Or perhaps I am being too wacky about this - but I can see elite planners thinking 6-6.5 billon inhabitants of this planet being far too many.

The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.
