Georgia Guidestones

David Guyatt Wrote:Kate, you do bring some interesting topics here. I've never heard of these stones before and have a question or two.

But first an observation.

R C Christian is very obviously (to me anyway) a cipher for Christian Rosencreutz - in other words the benefactor was probably connected to AMORC, the very dubious (imo) Rosicrucian Order which was founded in 1908-15 and was a reinvention of more ancient Rosicrucian traditions (notably the secret society founded by Sir Francis Bacon). In earlier posts on this forum I traced historical connections of AMORC to Martinism and the latter is, to my knowledge anyway, the only occult order that has a political agenda -- and therefore another reason to suppose that AMORC may well be responsible for the stones.

However, clearly I am guessing that this is the association behind these stones and don't know that this is actually the case.

What I haven't been able to ascertain is what "occult philosophy" Thomas Paine had? I very much expect he was a Freemason as so many founding fathers were. But the article above doesn't provide any details or cite any references, but rather just makes a bald assertion (which they seem to do with regularity btw).

Who are Radio Liberty and what is their agenda?

Most people in this state are not aware of them and are not advertised in any Georgia sight seeing booklets. I wonder why!? You can keep reading the various articles on the net and see that some think the man R.C. Christian was L. Ron Hubbard. I don't know where that idea originated. Thomas Paine wrote about Masonry and I never gathered from those works that he would have been a member. I also did not see any indication in The Age of Reason that he would support the message on those stones and I have read it several times. It is said there is a book by Christian in the library at Elberton that mentions the authors admiration of Paine. You are most likely correct on the Rosicrucian connection but there is so little actual information on the stones and those behind them nothing at this point can be proven.

I am not a follower of Radio Liberty. I used their article as it is more complete with accurate information than some you will find.
