Not being covered [the Aftenposten materials] as far as I can tell....amazing...but you must admit, this one is a bit embarrassing for the mighty superduperpower.
And remember we are looking at, at most, Secret, but a cable like this would have triggered a ton of messages in the Military and other branches of the Govt. on TOP SECRET and higher classifications as to what it means and what the **** to do about it [and how to handle it with a PR whitewash, when it does come to the surface]. Not to mention to crank up the number of spies and electronic spying on China........ So, every satellite, whether a 'star-wars' or communications or spy satellite is now vulnerable from another nation. Sort of levels the playing field - or the chess board some.
