Iran has been able to smuggle advanced technological equipment to its uranium enrichment plant in Natanz via a complex smuggling route based in Dubai, the Sunday Telegraph reported on Sunday.
So say the Germans.
Let's recall the UK's arms to Iraq affair when Margaret Thatcher was sending vast quantities of war materiel to Saddam (camouflaged for the sake of appearances only) as the "Jordanian Defence Package".
As I have noted elsewhere, deliveries continued to be authorized throughout the air war of Gulf War 1. The only concession made, however, was to withdraw deliveries (after much heated internal argument mind you) of anti-tank missiles. Being a case of one explosion too many I suppose. But the 155mm anti-tank dumb shells continued to be shipped by the trainload.
"Withdrawing" the anti-tank missiles clearly revealed that Blighty's finest knew that the arms actually were being on-shipped to Iraq. In fact, they were off-loaded in Jordan and driven straight through without stopping.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort.
