Market rumours - Citibank going belly-up?

I believe you're right, David.

As you say, all hell will break loose. They've been mentioning on the media that one option is for Citibank to sell off parcels of their business. I think they plan to shed 20% of their staff, should they remain a going concern.

Some think America is now in freefall, and it's hard to argue against it:
