bazonline.ch reports that the brothers had hijacked a car 50km north of Paris, they were hunted along the route N2 and are now in Dammartin-en-Goële, having taken an unknown number of hostages. This place is only a few kilometers from the CDG airport.

This is my suspicion too.
Various news reports say that between 35,000 and 80,000 police and military have been mobilised to apprehend these two men. It's simply ridiculous. And still not caught, either.
I do see parallels with the Boston bombing and the massive police manhunt seeking to apprehend the two brothers there.

Now they say that in Dammartin-en-Goele the brothers have one or more hostages in a warehouse and special forces are in and above the town in helicopters. This is a very small town, about 5 km NE of the airport, now with many more police and military then residents..... at least one dead reported. I'm looking at live photos and the town is CRAWLING with many thousands of police - and the town is totally surrounded almost shoulder to shoulder by police! The Police say they want desperately to take the men alive, but somehow I don't think it will end that way......

It looks like a war zone. Military helicopters now landing one after the other. More persons reported shot and ambulances are coming in. Pictures I'm watching show police vehicles and police absolutely besieging this town. Reports still are that the Paris shooters are inside a large warehouse with hostages. Now surrounded. Negotiations are being attempted. Townspeople are being told not to leave their homes or go near windows.

The held-up gunman have declared they want to die as martyrs...so looks like the scenario I suspected....

Not to distract from these ongoing events, but looking around I see that several people have noted the fact that this event has completely spiked the Prince Andrew sex slave story from the media, and this is completely true. It is not now even being reported as a secondary story, or on the inside pages.
Curious that.

Little reported, but known for several days, is that one of the police guards shot to death at the magazine office was Muslim. I believe he was the one shown rather graphically being given a shot to the head after being shot in the torso earlier.

On the media I keep in contact with, it has rather eclipsed all news....but I'm not sure it was an event invented to do that....however, it seems this will be over fairly soon....hours to a day at most...then back to the normal grunge news.

Call me cynical by all means, but I'm willing to bet that "back to normal grunge news" will not feature the Prince Andrew with the same verve as two days ago.
