Kiev boasted of victory parades in Donetsk and Lugansk on 24th Aug, now 6 days later they are close to being routed in entire South & South-West Ukraine. Poroschenko has brought in compulsory military service for everyone and is begging to get NATO involved because he can't win. There is no suppport from the people. He needs foreigners to get it done.

The celebration helped to inflict more trouble on Poroschenko. They pushed attacks so as to provide something to celebrate. The Southern Cauldron 2.0 was pushed so that the ATO would be largely complete in time for the 24th.
