This is a remarkable cover of The Zombies classic for at least two reasons, neither of them musical, as Bill York has sensibly pointed out. Still, in my book, that's no reason to overlook the interpretation:

Ah, the days of dives and rats are sadly long gone.

I remember one particular cellar club - later closed after a full-scale raid by the plod - that had mammoth rats running around it during the day... and druggies vomiting in the corner by night.

Bring back the 60's I say!!
