The Contours of Deep Politics - Zakariyya Ishaq - 12-08-2015 Tracy Riddle Wrote:I continue to be amazed at how the political/media establishment insist that Trump isn't playing the game by their rules, so his campaign must implode any day now. Today he gave a speech containing a lot of populist economic nationalism. There are tens of millions of Americans who've watched their jobs get outsourced, their lives downsized, who are eager to hear this kind of thing. Especially from a tough-talking businessman who promises to "get our jobs back." Trump is smart and probably knows the truth about the elites plot to force austerity on the American population through bad trade policy, i.e., NAFTA, GATT, and now the TPP of Obama, as well as massive corporate outsourcing typified by what another GOP candidate Carly Fiorina did at HP. This is not, imo, simple politics of greed; it is equivalent to the elites plot during JFK to have their wars and economic wishes that he contrasted that caused his death. So if Trump is serious and really wants to as he says: make America great again by bringing back jobs, something the elite definitely don't want for various reasons, he may be severely dealt with. Not that I'm suggesting a JFK solution but something along those lines is not outside the realm of possibility....Think George Wallace and Huey Long. The Contours of Deep Politics - R.K. Locke - 12-08-2015 There was a good piece about Trump on the anolen site but unfortunately he has taken everything down now. I wish I'd saved everything off that site while it was still up. |
